Todd Dulaney and James Fortune – The gospel music artists perform at a "Hallelujah For Heat" event sponsored by DTE Energy at 7pm Sat. Oct 12 in Christ Chapel of Cornerstone University, 1001 E. Beltline NE in Grand Rapids. Dulaney, a former pro baseball player, pursued gospel music as a background vocalist for Grammy-winner Smokey Norful before branching out on his own. His current hit: "You're Doing It All Again." Fortune, from Houston Texas, has a new album "Dream Again." Tickets are free. Danny Gokey – The Christian singer-songwriter – and "American Idol" alumnus – performs at 7pm Thur. Oct. 24 at Fair Haven Ministries, 2900 Baldwin Ave. Hudsonville. Gokey's current hit song is "Haven't Seen It Yet" (watch music video online). All seating is general admission; children 3 and under free if sitting on a lap. Tickets range from $15 to $75 for various premium packages and are available in advance online, at the door. ($5 higher at the door).
John Felts – The comedian spins his funny, observational stories of "Clean Getaway Comedy" at 8pm Fri. Oct. 25 at Baker Book House, 2768 East Paris Ave. SE. Felts, a Virginia native, has toured the comedy circuit for 10 years and has often performed to faith-based audiences. His topical humor includes dating, marriage, parenting, American culture and trying to do the right thing. Doors open at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 and available online.
