Women of Faith Theatre Event Planned

The interdenominational Christian ministry – which for 20 years has hosted arena gatherings for women featuring prominent speakers, authors and music artists – is planning its first ever cinematic event at theatres nationwide, including multiplexes in Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon and Kalamazoo (see details below).
During 2015 Women of Faith (WOF) presented its "Farewell Tour" which included many of the ministry's most popular presenters such as speaker/authors Patsy Clairmont and Luci Swindoll and singer Sandi Patty.
"Our heart has been to share real-life stories filled with humor in the midst of heartache," said WOF programming director Amy Chandy. "We're so excited to share this journey with a new audience through this movie experience."
The theatre event (which will screen on Feb. 18, March 3 and March 5 depending on the city), is titled "An Amazing Joyful Journey" and is a mixture of documentary, live action and behind-the-scenes footage.
WEST MICHIGAN CONNECTIONS
Although never coming to Grand Rapids, WOF conferences have convened in 89 cities drawing more than 5 million women over its two-decade run. Singer Tammy Trent (formerly Tammy Buffum, a Grand Rapids native), was a WOF speaker and singer for four years as well as serving a two-year assignment on the Revolve Tour, the organization's conferences aimed at teen girls.
