Major Concert Tours Scheduled for West Michigan

Newsboys' "We Believe tour...God's Not Dead" stops Nov. 6 at Grand Rapids First, 2100 44th St. SW in Wyoming, a church which has one of the area's largest worship auditoriums.
Newsboys and lead singer Michael Tait scored one of their biggest hits ever several years ago with "God's Not Dead." The anthem was the title song of the popular "God's Not Dead" film which also featured the band in an on screen role.
"We Believe" is a more recent hit which has often been paired with this year's feature film, "Do You Believe?"
Along on the tour is the band Hawk Nelson, whose latest album "Diamonds" features the current No. 1 song "Drops in the Ocean."
Singer-songwriter Ryan Stevenson ("Not Forgotten") is opening the bill.
AND MORE......
Meanwhile, the following night (Nov. 7) singer-songwriter-worship leader Christ Tomlin comes to the Van Andel Arena with his "Love Ran Red" tour, titled after his most recent CD.
The award-winning artist has accumulated 12 No. 1 singles and a Grammy Award. But more notably his songs are sung in tens of thousands of churches across the world. Songs such as "How Great Is Our God," "Jesus Messiah" and "Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)" are standards in contemporary worship services.

Tomlin has performed at least three times in Van Andel Arena: on tours with TobyMac and Israel Houghton, as well as his own concert tour.
Opening the evening is Rend Collective, a worship-based band from Ireland. Their signature song is the infectious "Build Your Kingdom Here," also a tune sung in many churches.
