KidHope3Mark was in the principal’s office again for bullying. Anger issues from hurt in his life were being expressed in an unhealthy manner. The school tried discipline and other methods, but nothing worked. The principal decided to try a mentor from Kids Hope USA to see if that would help. Mark was matched with a great young man who mentored him through elementary school and kept in contact with him beyond. He continually fed Mark with encouragement such as, “Mark, you’re a great kid,” “Mark, you can do this,” and “Mark, I believe in you.”

Local: Local Ministry Affects Prisoners Far Away

crossraods6In October of this year, prison officials in far-away Papua New Guinea (PNG) welcomed a local ministry, Crossroad Bible Institute (CBI), into their facilities. Officials have seen the benefits of CBI’s prison ministry and want to extend those benefits to other institutions, said CBI Australia fieldworker Terry West. CBI is a non-profit prison ministry with over 42,000 students studying through satellite campuses on six continents. The program is provided at no cost to prisoners and their families.
