EVENTSWest Michigan Christian News writer Terry DeBoer surveys the landscape for the area's faith-based arts and entertainment events over the coming month. Here are three highlights for May:

*Hark Up Spring Concert – Various area "Hark Up" organization ensembles perform at 3 p.m. Sun. May 7 in Hudsonville High School Fine Arts Auditorium, 3370 Allen Street, Hudsonville. Featured are director Chris Hansen and the Hark Up Horns Big Band, Geoff Hansen and the Hark Up Choir, singer Breighanna Minnema and more. A group of Hark Up alumni join the artists for a grand finale. Tickets are $12 advance, $16 at the door; children 12 and under $5, seniors age 60+ and Vets $8. *Gerald Wolfe's Gospel Music Hymn Sing – The singer from the gospel trio Greater Vision leads the event at 7 p.m. Thurs. May 18 at Jenison Center for the Arts, 8375 20th Ave. Jenison. Featured are Greater Vision, the Jim Brady Trio, Mark Trammell Quartet, Second-Half Quartet, Mylon Hayes Family, keyboardist Stan Whitmire, and more. *Jason Gray – The inspirational singer-songwriter performs at 7 p.m. Fri. May 19 at First Christian Reformed Church, 721 Hillcrest Ave. in Fremont. Gray's musical catalog includes the top Christian radio hits "With Every Act of Love" and Remind Me Who I Am." His latest album is "Where the Light Gets In" and includes the tune "I Will Rise Again."
